When you run the Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard, it does not run. If you launch it from the Exchange admin center or the Exchange Online admin center

Copy and paste the URL https://aka.ms/HybridWizard into Internet Explorer or another web browser. The problem is, the hybrid setup wizard won’t work.

The Hybrid Configuration Assistant is not an executable (.exe) file. ClickOnce is a deployment technology that allows you to create self-updating Windows applications that can be installed and run with minimal user interaction.

• Click on Start => Control Panel => Programs.

• Click Make a file type always open in a specific program.

• Select the name .application and click Change Program.

• Select Internet Explorer => OK.

• The default program for the .application file type has been replaced by Internet Explorer.

• Go back to Internet Explorer and paste the link https://aka.ms/HybridWizard . This time you will see the Install Application – Security Warning window.

• Click Install to start the installation of the Microsoft Office 365 Hybrid Setup Assistant.
